Expanding the forums
The main purpose of these forums is of course to bring together those of us who recall VN War in context of a previous life. I’m trying to invite more folks over here, but I understand that this is a very narrow group of people and this is going to be a largely dormant community. Having members post their memories, and having those resources for research will make this space an archive to assist future members. Which is exactly why I encourage people to post their memories and research process as accurately and detailed as possible.
I also realise that people who recall other wars or conflicts may find these forums useful so branching out in that direction is a possibility.
If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions in this regard let me know.

Re: Expanding the forums
I'm not too familiar with how Reddit works, any thoughts on how it could be utilised?

Soldier it's not a bad idea. Privacy is a concern for me, and I like to keep this community friendly and open -- it might be a way to attract traffic. I have concerns about this forum platform -- if we managed to get a more active discussion I would consider moving the forums to a more secure platform. Secure means paid for though, so it's a consideration I'll have to take into account.
Re: Expanding the forums
Of course I encourage a discussion of all wars, and have been thinking of opening up a section for non-military pl experiences too.
Re: Expanding the forums
There are also various conflicts spread across the world. My daughter is two has markers for a PL in a war (since she was about 12 months). When we let off fireworks here last November when she was 18 mos old, she was hysterical, ran in the house and grabbed my husbands bicycle helmet for 'protection'. She also liked to wear a metal sieve we had as a play helmet up until recently. Yet I'm not pushing her... she may never need to remember. I hope she doesn't honestly. But there may be parents out there who have kids who also exhibit these types of behaviours, and more severe. They also would seek information on how to deal with what their children are presenting.
