I’m feeling angry and sad today

Hey man don’t worry. We all have bad days. But then it’s just about getting through the bad days. Some days will be shitty. That’s life. Those days you have permission to just do whatever to get through them as long as you don’t harm yourself or others, right?. Play a video game all day if you have to. Find someone to talk to about it. If not write it all down even if you destroy the letter later. It will pass. It always does.

Just a heads up, send a message through your own post as I’m trying to keep this space for new members.

Landsend. I can make this place a bit bigger. I can promote it if you want to. I think we can make it a big forum for veterans of all modern wars or maybe even more than that.

Also I have been missing you. I guess you’re very busy right now. My anxious thoughts about Vietnam have been disappearing but the pain is still there. I can’t watch any footage of the war without panicking, it’s just too much. It’s definitely hard to watch. I can’t even listen to the music without thinking about it.

I am here on invitation.

In this life, I was born in 1971.
I remember fragments of different lives, eras and places.
I am not sure about my own memories sometimes, because it is all too easy to fool oneself.
About Nam, I only got two short flashes and some of these moments of "sudden knowledge" which might be spontaneous memories or not.
Got much more about earlier times, but so be it.
I am here, and I will listen. I wish to find myself, my true self, I wish to see a bigger picture and get over my PL issues which still are there.
And so on...

Here can savely write whatever's on your mind, atleast Landsend and I can handle basically anything you throw at us at even if you're not sure if something's a memory or not don't let that stop you, Landsend and I got to the point where we could ID our PL selves through trail and error
We don't judge just offer support, input and advice

Good thing that the posts in this forum are only visible for members and not for everyone.
It is a great honor to have been invited here, and I am not sure if I deserve this honor.
I am so hopelessly insecure in this life, and it irks me when other believe me more than I believe myself.
The least thing I want is to spread false information or to be seen as "better" than I am.
I will talk about my flashes which could be a PL and related to Nam or not sooner or later.
At the moment, I feel a much stronger call from an older life again.
Maybe it was fate which brought me here, maybe I will have the chance to prove to myself that I'm not just nuts...

I’m probably the most hopelessly insecure person out there. Every part of my journey has been question doubt question doubt — I was hoping to learn from Terrys family that my memories were complete fabrications so I could sign myself up for the local mental institute. The truth is a lot more complex than that. Having solid proof from living family members actually doesn’t make it any easier. It adds layers of complications on top of that. 

No one here judges you. This is a safe space, as CanSol says and honestly we are glad you came to join us here. It’s really not about anyone believing our memories. It’s about finding our own truth, peace and a place of healing.

An example of where my self confidence is at currently — am learning to drive and I’m absolutely shit at it because my head is all over the place and my anxiety gets triggered at the slightest, especially on bad days like today. I feel I’m never going to learn, I’m not worthy, I’m a piece of shit who doesn’t achieve anything etc etc. And it’s embarrassing  as I know as Terry driving was of utmost importance and I’m 28 yrs old for Christ sake. Truth is I’ve got a lot going on right now and getting out of bed is hard work never mind learning to drive on England’s saturated roads.

Point being — don’t be so hard on yourself. 


I used to drive the chopper in my avatar in my past life. In this life at times it’s been a struggle to walk out my front door. Literally. Spent months indoors. There is trauma there for me, and being a POW changed me and scarred me beyond almost recognition. Hope one day I can wake up and not feel that burden.

And going to see that chopper in person put it in perspective. Holy Christ almighty — I flew that thing??? Seriously?? How can my current life compare? Everything terrifies me. 

That’s why the doubt has been so prevalent for me. I believed myself absolutely worthless. And still do most days.
